Hours

WOW is open 5:15 am to 6:00pm

How to you ensure the building stays secure?

All doors are locked at all times. Parents are given an access code to the front door, but the door is also monitored while we are open by the front desk and the video footage in the Executive Director's office.

How often do you clean?

We clean all day long! Cleaning charts are posted in each classroom that outline our cleaning. Every toy is cleaned on a regular schedule, as are other areas of the school.

What days are you closed?

We close for some holidays and two training days each year. Our yearly calendar is posted on the WOW families page. We occasionally close for weather-related safety reasons; however, this is rare.

Do you have cameras?

We do have cameras! To protect the safety of all children, all footage is stored on site. If parents would like to view footage they can talk with the Executive Director.

What happens if I am late for pick up?

There is a $5/ 5/minute charge for pickup after 6:00 p.m. For complete information about extended care and late fees, please visit our Tuition and Value page

Daily Routine and Structure

What does a typical day look like?

Please visit your child's age grouping for a look into the activities they will participate in daily.

Daily Routine and Structure

Do you provide meals/snacks?

We provide a breakfast and afternoon snack, as well as liquid milk at meals and snacks. To keep costs lower, and meet each child's individual needs parents must pack lunch. All infant meals and snacks are provided by parents until they can eat center snacks.

Daily Routine and Structure

What is your handwashing routine?

We ask that parents wash hands with their child when they enter the classroom in the morning. We will then wash your child's hands many times throughout the day.

Daily Routine and Structure

How long is nap/rest time?

Young infants sleep on their own schedule. As children get older they transition to a schedule of resting from 12:30 pm to 2:30 pm. Older children do not nap. If a child is ever tired at WOW we will provide them a safe place to sleep. Children who are dropped off early often sleep in the morning.

Can you accommodate allergies or dietary restrictions?

Yes! We have a solid track record of making sure children with allergies are safe. We may need additional documentation or alternatives provided. Please contact us for more information.

How do you handle behavioral challenges?

We believe that behavioral challenges are dependent on each child's individual needs and development. We treat behavioral challenges as a partnership between the school and parents. We have employed a Inclusion Specialist to assist with this partnership. If your child is showing behavioral challenges, we will work to put a plan in place and make any needed referrals.

Daily Routine and Structure

Do children go outside daily?

All children go outside daily, if weather appropriate. Infants go on buggy rides and older children go to the playground.

How do you handle potty training

We believe that potty training needs to be a partnership between parents and teachers. Once you believe your child is ready, we will assist you every step of the way. We never require a child to be potty trained. For more information on the potty training process please visit out parent education page.

What happens if my child gets sick or injured?

We will inform you immediately and let you know if your child needs to be picked up. If any child becomes sick at WOW with a communicable disease we have a cleaning and sanitation protocol to stop the spread of illness.

Children receive developmental screenings upon enrollment and once a year. These include the DECA and Brigance. The COR is completed throughout the year and is finalized in winter and spring prior to being sent home to parents.

Daily Communication- We use Procare to update you on your child's activities throughout the day and send pictures. You can also message your child's teacher.

Other communication- We send out a monthly newsletter with center updates, home activities, and other information.

Staff Qualifications

Are your staff background checked?

All staff receive 5 background checks that check for any federal or state criminal history or CPS investigations.

How long have your staff worked at the center?

We’re proud of the dedication and longevity of our team. While early childhood education is known for high turnover, WOW stands out with a deeply committed staff. Some of our team members are just starting their journey with us, while others have been with WOW for over 27 years. Many of our senior staff have worked in the early childhood field for more than five years—well above the national average.

This blend of fresh energy and experienced leadership creates a stable, supportive environment for children and families. We invest in our staff, and in return, they invest in us—and your children.

What training does your staff have?

All staff receive trainings in health and safety (CPR, First Aid, Child Abuse Prevention, Communicable Disease Prevention)

They also receive 15 hours of state approve trainings annually surrounding development.

Additionally, staff receive approximately 20 hours of "WOW" training provided by the center each year.

Do your staff have degrees?

Yes! At WOW, we prioritize education and professional growth across our entire team. All of our higher-level staff—like administrators, lead teachers, and developmental specialists—hold either a degree in early childhood education or a CDA (Child Development Associate credential), which is a nationally recognized certification in child development, safety, and early learning practices.

All lead teachers either already have their CDA or are currently completing it, and many of our assistant teachers are actively working toward earning theirs. We cover the full cost of the CDA for our staff and provide ongoing support throughout the process. This ensures that every classroom is led by knowledgeable, well-trained educators who are continually growing in the field.
